What is Quantum physics and what does it refer to ? Where did the term Quantum evolve from? There are so many myths and ignorance about the Quantum theory. Lets understand the very essence of Quantum theory in simple words.

In simple words Quantum theory is the approach of modern physics that strive to study the nature and behavior of matter and energy on the fundamental atomic and subatomic level. This approach at the fundamental level is referred to as Quantum Physics or Quantum mechanics.

The core of the Quantum physics believe that the energy is indivisible and it comes in the form of Quanta.

Max Planck is considered as the father of the Quantum physics who proposed a hypothesis in 1900 which states that energy is radiated and absorbed in discreet Quanta ( individual energy packets ). Though the Quantum physics is a newer branch of modern physics but it has Vedic influence of Sanatan science.

Erwin Schrödinger , one of the two creators of the Quantum theory had acknowledged the Vedic influence in his autobiography. In his autobiography he explains the Quantum theory is proposed to give form to Vedic theories. He further writes

“This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence, but in a certain sense the whole; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance. This, as we know, is what the Brahmins ( priests in the Sanatan culture ) express in that sacred, mystic formula which is yet really so simple and so clear; tat tvam asi, this is you. Or, again, in such words as “I am in the east and the west, I am above and below, I am this entire world.”

The above mantra is a reference from the Mundaka Upanishad which explains the Vedic understanding of the connectivity of living entities. It helps the Bhakta ( yoga practitioner ) to understand the difference or the connectivity between the body and the living entity.

The real nature of the living entity can be realized only with the union to the eternal source.

Erwin Schrödinger quoted while speaking of a universe in which particles are represented by wave functions, had said, “The unity and continuity of Vedanta are reflected in the unity and continuity of wave mechanics. This is entirely consistent with the Vedic philosophy of All in One.”

Later he became a Hindu, Sanatan follower in search of the truth.
