E = MC2 formula proposed by the twentieth century physicist Albert Einstein is well known in modern physics which describes the relationship between energy and mass. He proposed this formula in his paper Annus Mirabilis published in 1905. The formula states that the energy ( E ) can be calculated as the multiplication of mass ( M ) with the square of the speed of light denoted by ( C ). This Mass–energy relation evolved originally from the paradox of special relativity.
However there is a great reference of this Mass - Energy relation narrated by Lord Krishna in the great Hindu scripture Shree Bhagwat Gita.
''bhūmir āpo ‘nalo vāyuḥ
khaḿ mano buddhir eva ca
ahańkāra itīyaḿ me
bhinnā prakṛtir aṣṭadhā || Srimad Bhagavad Gita,
Chapter 7, Verse 4''
Meaning of the shloka - Earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect, and ego – they all collectively constitute MY material energy.
The Vedic philosophy and the Bhagavad Gita explains a completely different approach towards the material world. Lord Krishna clearly tells Arjun that all the matter is considered as the energy of God called the Prakriti, which is classified into eight different forms explained by the above shloka. Prakriti is nothing but the material energy in its primordial form. Lord Krishna states that all these eight elements are simply parts of His Maya, His material energy.
The formula of the Einstein is contradicted since energy does not have mass, so how could it be transferable to the mass.
Lord Krishna explains in Bhagwat Gita that, “All that exists in the universe has manifested from My material energy”. And Soul can neither be created nor destroyed. It just transfers from one body to another, from one form to the other one.
Though Lord Krishna had explained all this 5000 years ago, modern science in 20th century proposed that the Energy can neither be created or nor destroyed rather can only be changed from one form to another.
Soul is nothing but the energy while Body is just a mass thus with the death , the body ( Mass ) is simply converted to the massless energy.
nainam chindanti sastrani nainam dahati pavakah na cainam kledayanty apo na sosayati marutah
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः। न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ।।
Meaning : The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon, nor can he be burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.
It just leaves old body and finds new body just like we change cloths.
Lord simply glances at the Prakriti whenever he wishes to create the world.
