Vrindavan

Vrindavan, located on the banks of river Yamuna is one of the most important pilgrimage for Hindu Devotees. Vrindavan is the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. Devotees across the world come to Vrindavan throughout the year.

The name Vrindavan is supposed to have been derived from Vrinda + Van meaning forest with groves of Brinda ( Basil ) . This is much evident and refers to Nidhivan and Sevakunj.

In Vrindavan there are hundreds of temples of Lord Krishna but most important ones are Shree Banke Bihari Mandir, ISKON temple etc.

The surroundings of Vrindavan is so pleasing and energetic as it is said one who comes in Vrindavan for once, doesn't wish to leave Vrindavan and one who comes here, falls in deep love with Lord Krishna.

If you look at the sky and try to listen the sound, it feels like every particle chants Hare Krishna, Hare Ram.

Vrindavan is well connected by Airways, Railways and Road with rest of the country. The nearest Airport is Delhi Airport, Delhi and the nearest railway station is Mathura Junction. However the most preferable way is Indian Railways. Vrindavan is well connected with State run roadways as well as Private Bus / Taxi operators.
